Samuele Papa PhD student @ University of Amsterdam and The Netherlands Cancer Institute

Bio

I am Samuele Papa an engineer and research enthusiast with a strong background in information engineering, computer engineering, and artificial intelligence. I proudly completed both an MSc (cum laude) in Computer Engineering from the University of Padova and an MSc in Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence from the Technical University of Denmark in 2021.

I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Cancer Institute, at the POP-AART Lab, in collaboration with Elekta. As a lab, we focus on personalized adaptive online radiotherapy using artificial intelligence techniques.

Under the guidance of supervisors Jan-Jakob Sonke and Efstratios Gavves, my research centers on utilizing deep generative models to improve imaging techniques. I'm passionate about bridging the gap between advanced technology and applications, and I believe that interdisciplinary expertise will be the key to solving the most challenging problems of our time.
